Overview
Executed a high-impact infrastructure audit and migration for two enterprise-level applications: a Laravel-based HRMS and a Python-based Asset Management System (AMS). The primary objective was to transition these systems from high-overhead environments to cost-optimized, restricted environments while ensuring 100% functional parity and security.
Migration & Cost Engineering
- Strategic Migration (Laravel & Python): Successfully managed the end-to-end migration of a Laravel-based HRMS and a Python-based AMS.
- 80% Annual Cost Reduction: Achieved a massive reduction in infrastructure overhead by identifying inefficiencies in previous hosting models and re-architecting the deployment for a more efficient, restricted server environment.
- Technology-Agnostic Audit: Conducted comprehensive code and infrastructure audits prior to migration. Despite no prior proficiency with the Python stack (AMS), I applied core architectural principles to map dependencies and networking requirements, ensuring a flawless transition.
Lifecycle, Security & Handover
- Navigating Restricted Environments: Solved complex technical hurdles related to restricted environment constraints, including custom security protocols, dependency isolation, and networking for both PHP and Python environments.
- UAT & Quality Assurance: Led the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase post-migration to verify that application logic, data integrity, and system response times remained optimal under the new architecture.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Provided full architecture of multiple systems for the client’s internal teams to ensure long-term maintainability and operational autonomy.
