Directed the full-lifecycle technical transformation of the Himalayan University Consortium (HUC) digital presence – from initial envisioning to the deployment of a sophisticated, member-centric ecosystem. Originally architected for ICIMOD, the platform’s robust modularity and clean system design facilitated a seamless institutional transition to Kathmandu University, where it continues to serve as the primary networking hub and data-exchange for hundreds of regional academic institutions across the HKH region.

Custom Ecosystem & Plugin Engineering
- Bespoke Theme Development: Developed a high-performance, custom theme tailored for ease of navigation while maintaining the professional standards required by an international intergovernmental organization.
- Proprietary Institutional Plugins: Engineered a suite of custom plugins to manage complex organizational data, including:
- Institutional & Member Directory: A searchable, granular database of member universities and individual scholars across the HKH region.
- Credit Merit System: Developed a unique logic-based “Credit Merit” plugin to track and reward institutional & individual contributions and engagement within the consortium.
- Portal Infrastructure: Built custom user and member registration modules with tiered access levels to ensure secure data entry and profile management.
Content & Lifecycle Management
- Communications Engine: Integrated a streamlined News and Event Management system to coordinate regional academic activities, workshops, and consortium updates with co-existing data in ICIMOD’s primary website.
- Data-Driven Profiles: Designed an Institutional Profile plugin that allows universities to showcase research capabilities, faculty data, and partnership history in a unified format.
Infrastructure & Security Compliance
- Full-Stack DevOps: Managed the complete web server setup and configuration, ensuring the platform meets the high availability and performance standards of ICIMOD’s global stakeholders.
- Continuous Integrity: Conducted routine security audits and deep website optimizations to protect sensitive institutional data and ensure a seamless user experience across varied regional internet speeds.
